Mel & Mia's was established in 2017. Named for our daughters Melanie and Amelia we wanted to build a place that we would want to bring our children to for a treat, dessert should be the most special meal of the day. Bill Pennington has been in the restaurant business for over 30 years. Graduating from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York and adding much "flavor" to his resume with places such as The 21 Club and the Top of the Sixes in New York, NY, To the Ritz Carlton and River Oaks Country Club in Houston, TX. And as local as The Space Needle and Daniels Broiler Bellevue. Rebecca also has extensive restaurant experience working multiple front of the house positions for 20 years. She also has always had a passion for creating cakes, party planning and interior design. With our 4 children we enjoy all that the Pacific Northwest has to offer. Hiking and camping, or just sitting around a campfire is what brings us together.
